How can I get my text messaging to work? (AT&T)

I have AT&T, and I have the correct phone number set up in the text messaging settings. However, I haven't received any text messages.

Many times AT&T users must label their service provider as Cingular, instead of AT&T. After you have changed this in the Settings tab, be sure to save changes. You will also want to make sure you have saved the configuration settings for text messaging.
